I only hope he has somehow managed to work in one of my favourite aspects of the Captain Spleen world: the alpha version of Rock: The Game. For those of you who have never heard of it, it's only one of the greatest arcade/computer games ever made and it has never failed to entertain me. The graphics are clean, the user interface is straightforward and there are only three simple rules:
- You are a rock
- Do rock stuff
- Try not to fall
As if that wasn't enough to look forward to (hearing the final product, even if I don't get to be involved)
And of course, there is always my own pet project, The Continuing Saga of Oklahoma Jim! This is a story I would love to reach as many people as possible and one of the big reasons why I want to create my own website. To share the story and see people enjoy it would be a great thrill. And if I could ever record it well, it would be the bees knees, I tell you. I have the minimal equipment to do so at home, but trial and error and working alone are not the best way for me to learn and distraction seems an adequate villain these days to keep me from my duties.
Ahhh, some day. Some day I will have episodes I-V complete. They're already written out in my head, but it takes a tremendous amount of energy to for them to work their way out onto paper. I have to be properly psyched up, otherwise the story is just limp. (I could fill a notebook with all the false-starts and attempts I've made that peter out on page 2.) But until then I have episodes VI-XIII to share among my other OK Jim stories. And hopefully helping my friends with their own projects will give me the jump-start I need for my own. This year might not be a total suck-hole after all.

P.S. Today's date is 05-05-05. Just thought I'd point that out since it only happens once per century. But then, so does every other date. [shrugs]
