I should be working...

Boy, do I feel stupid. I signed up to work four hours of overtime on Friday, see? Even tho' it's a paid vacation day there are still some things that need to be done and the hours add up to double time-and-a-half. Sweet, right? So last night I come home, cancel an invite from a friend and even turn down my girlfried because I have all this stuff to do before Friday and the weekend that just can't be put off. With most of the stuff complete I retire early and awake in time to have some leftover breakfast pizza before leaving with plenty of time to punch in at eight. I get to work and there are no other vehicles there, the doors are locked and the lights are out.

Which Friday did I volunteer for? Come to think of it, It can't be next Friday because it's a scheduled work day and I'm already using the last of my vacation time to have it off. Was today canceled without the posting being taken down? More questions than answers. But I do know that I can't be faulted for a no-show since I was there on time even if no one else was. I don't feel stupid any more, just annoyed. At least I have three and a half more hours to do all my Friday stuff.

The good news is, Christ's Mess is almost over.
