Wow, that was easy!

I just now made a call to -- well not NOW, obviously. I just finished a call, I should say -- I just finished a call to a plumber referred to me by my landlord. He should be over tomorrow midday to replace the wax gasket on the toilet in the guest bathroom. I've had the water turned off in there for months and haven't bothered to do anything about it. But, what with the Tick-a-thon blundering ever closer I thought I should get it done soon so company won't have to trek through my bedroom to pee.

My front door has also been "fixed." I say "fixed" because it's not as good as new, it merely latches without as much difficulty now. As mentioned in last post I couldn't get the old door off to get the new one on co I called the landlord for help. He sent over a neighbor to help me out. We determined that I'd have to replace the inner and outer doors in one unit, thereby rendering my new storm door useless. (I'm in the process of figuring out how to return it.) However, with a few taps from a hammer he was able to get it to open and close without me feeling like I'm going to break something. I'll need to add some weatherstripping but it will work for now. Wish me luck on getting my money back for the new door.

Oh, and I'm cooking ramen pizza for lunch. Remind me to let you know how it turns out.

So it looks like nobody I've been friends with since 2009 has been using LJ recently, which is kindof sad. Not that I've been part of the solution…

I'm pretty sure none of the people that followed me & commented on my posts use LiveJournal any more. If you still do, please comment. - E V I…
