Warning, you say? Yes, for this coming Saturday I will be leaving for D.C. and haven't done a lick to prepare. Sure, packing shouldn't take long but I still need to go to the camera shop to see if my 35mm is repairable and if not (or if not within the week) purchase and learn to use a digital. Monday I'm gonna make curry and generally slob off after the busy weekend and Tuesday I have a morning appointment. [thinks a moment] The appointment shouldn't last too long so I think I can take care of the 35mm thing then. Still, I have to be responsible and wake up with enough time to do these things before work.
Oh, wait. That paragraph sort of went off track. The warning regards my updates or predicted lack thereof. I do want to record my weekend soon with due respects to the friends that joined me today but tonight isn't the night.
It just occurred to me: Why did I buy all this fruit Friday? I'm not gonna be able to eat all those peaches and apples before I go. At least, not at the rate I usually eat fruit. I'll have to take them to work for snacks or give them to Mom so they don't spoil. The peaches aren't ripe yet so they might last and I'm pretty sure the apples will int he fridge but this is something I should have thought of before I made out the grocery list. Plus, Thea brought what must be about twenty dollars worth of snackfoods today and left them here for us so now I have a big bowl of (delicious but certainly unhealthy) taco dip to finish, two big bags of chips and two cases of soda I'm not likely to drink. (Note to self: must find a way to get her over here soon so we can finish this stuff off.)
Now that I've actually begun to think about this stuff I realize that I shouldn't be too concerned. The leftover curry and dip I can freeze (provided there's room in the freezer) and fruit planned out in the previous paragraph so now I'm pretty much rambling.
Anyway, thanks to all who joined me today and to those who couldn't, we missed you. I'll probably do another marathon in the not-to-distant future with Eva or something. It was a lot of fun.
