Desert Bus - spinning

Back online, Baby!

I'm back! The tech from Charter just left a few minutes ago leaving me with my internet connection in tact for the first time since Saturday. It was harrowing there for a while & I had to resort to DVDs for entertainment but I stuck it out & managed to pull through unscathed, tho' I wish I could say the same for this virus riddled body of mine.

I've had a cold since last Thursday or so. It came on gradually & finally found a comfortable resting place by Saturday morning & has been there ever since. My waste baskets are filling with used tissues fast & I don't know if they will be able to hold out until trash day. At least I've been able to keep myself fairly secluded since the weekend & hopefully won't infect many people. Unfortunately I haven't been to the gym since last week due to birthdays, the weather & now this. It will be a bear the next time I do my resistance training again but I'm looking forward to it. It's much more comfortable than shoveling snow.

The snow, by the way, can stop now. This is the third storm in the past week or so & I can happily do without until next year. I shoveled the drive first thing this morning to make room for the Cable Man but by the time he arrived you could hardly tell I'd been out. Fortunately, when he arrived I happened to spot a troop of shovel touting girls walking up the road & when they noticed me watching them they asked if I needed any shoveling. Score! As I write this the snowfall appears to have stopped (at least for now) & my drive is cleaner than it's been all season. They are a bit richer & I can feel good having supported a local business.

So wha'd I miss?
