With origami, if you have paper you are never without toys

Today the SWE recieved her gift wrapped in three layers of complex modular origami which made her very happy which made me happy. Not only that, the special prize inside may now be her favourite and will be traveling to Europe with her soon. One of the reasons I love origami is the delight it brings others which makes all the hours of practice and construction worthwhile. We had a very nice conversation tonite about the gift and other things and now I'm all warm and fuzzy inside. *Glow*

Now I have another one to make for Seraphim before Anime Central. I've gotten the hang of the design now and it's just a matter of finding the time and patience to plow through most of the folding it requires in one or two sittings as I normally prefer not to spread it out over a long period of time (model in first paragraph excluded, of course, since it was a very special gift with properties that evolved throughout its construction.)

Now I'm looking at the box I purchased at the Mitsuwa bookstore over the weekend for folding paper and wishing I had bought a couple more since I could fill it three or four times over with all the extra I have. I have no excuse for not wanting to waste the pretty paper because now I have plenty to spare.
