Second, I've been working which is great but the work & hours take a lot out of me so by the time I get home I usually want little more to do that passively rest & wind down. Usually this is done while watching downloaded episodes of Mythbusters but I'm going to try to be a little more productive as I get accustomed to the workload. The hours can be very erratic; 11 hours one day, 7 the next, then 8, then 10, then 7 again. I never really know when I'm going to get home which is a bummer & it would probably drive my wife nuts were I married. But it's a real honest-to-goodness JOB with real pay & health benefits that kick in three weeks from now. It's such an immense release of stress I can finally relax & establish a new daily routine and... and... Well let's just say, "whew!"
Thirdly, there have been a crapload of birthdays last month. Holly, Gemma, Phill, Tom & Sean all had busy parents in December. It' makes March kind of barren but that's ok because all the attention can be on ME. Lindsay is still determined to make me a running wizard costume for my birthday gift (as if she didn't already do enough for me that day) & is aiming for Halloween which is speeding up fast. I keep telling her there is no rush on it & that I'd rather have it done well then done fast but it would seem Halloween is it. But if there is one date I'd like it done by it's that of B-fest so there's still a few more months if this one doesn't work. I shan't be picky tho'. I'll just focus on getting her measurements of myself & pictures of the finished robe to make it easier for her. Just watch for the wizard in the robe of green & I will help you find your dream.
Last month a friend introduced me to a conspiracy theorist's movie about motivations & execution of the World Trade Center & Pentagon attacks. I didn't buy into it, but it did get me thinking about governmental tactis & war & their effects on society & whatnot & I ended up re-reading 1984 by George Orwell. It's a very well done book & I absolutely hate it. I think it's necessary to read it once in a while to put things into perspective. Read it I did & now I have no desire to touch it again, not even to pick it up off the floor where it landed after I flung it across the room. But I suppose I'll have to if I want to get my winter coat out of the closet.
I have more to say but it's late, I'm tired & on the brink of my final veg-out on the way to bed. Plus, koriandrkitten is still waiting for me to return to the instant messenger & ask her questions about video games.
