12:30 am: I am here
Signed up for a paid account last nite and I'm still figuring out the details. The whole must check out everything now that it's available fury of interest is passing and interest is more in appearance and efficiency. Presentation is important and it's tricky finding just the right colours to choose for the text and background and such. If it hurts my eyes to read, who else would want to look at it? Among other things, I want to make the background colour for the comment bars just a hair lighter or darker and it's proving difficult since I can't bypass the red when I try to change it and altering the values manually just doesn't seem to want to work. Instead of getting frustrated I'm chalking stuff like this up to "experience" since I do plan on creating my own website someday to host my writings and the like. It wasn't until I started a Live Journal that I learned how to link URLs with text. Look for more of me slowly figuring out stuff you already know in the amazing and fantastic FUTURE!!

The more I think about it, the more I realize I really need to prepare some stuff to send to Weird Tales. It's been far too long since I've sent anything out and all I need to do is reformat to the publisher's needs. I'm looking at submitting Kublawocky and A Bit of Green Leather, both of which I am confident in and are quite enjoyed by my friends and family. My slacking must end here! Tho' I've yet to get a printer, the one at my folks' place works well and will do in a pinch. All you have to do is reformat, print and submit. You can do it, Evil! You'll no longer be a wannabe. You'll finally be a BE! Just do it now and... well, ... this weekend you're working and then going up north for a family thing, and then other stuff and... carp. So... today: get excited. Next week: progress!! (maybe)
