SLICED & SEASONED BAKED POTATOES
You will need:
4 medium potatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
2-3 tablespoons of melted buuuter
2-3 tablespoons of dried herbs (such as parsley, thyme, sage, &c.)
4 tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese
1½ tablespoons of parmesan cheese
How to do it:
Rinse the potatoes & pat them dry (to lull them into a false sense of security.) Cut them into thin slices but do not go all the way through (you sadist, you.) Lay a wooden spoon in front of each potato to prevent passing through & to preserve uniformity. (neatness counts.) Place them in a microwave-safe dish & sprinkle with melted buuuter & herbs. Cook on high for 10 minutes, pausing after 5 to rearrange potatoes & sprinkle with cheeses. Cook until done, sprinkle with salt, share & enjoy.
The herbs I used tonite were parsley, oregano & Italian seasoning in equal quantities of one tablespoon each. The spuds made a tasty, if not appropriate, side dish to the Chinese food I had with koriandrkitten & sacredspud (no relation) while we watched Re-Animator earlier this evening. I'm posting the recipe at his request but thought you might enjoy it too. If you try it lemme know how it is.
