04:24 pm: and now. . . LIVE FROM TOKYO!!!
Disclamer: I can't be held responsible for any punctuation orf spelling mistakes I make on a Japanese keyboard.

I dont't have much time for an update if I want to join some friends who are going to a ninja-themed restaurant this evening but I'll try my darndest. Ganbatte!!

Yes, a ninja-themed restaurant.

Anyway, yesterday after shopping several hours for postcards and finding none until I returned and asked at the hotel desk where they gave me some for free, I managed to write six and getting in some quality journal time. I'm still two days behind but I think I can make it since I'll only be touring for a half-day tomorrow (Tokyo Towah!!) I bought some crazy casule toys for you guys among other stuff so you'd best not be complainin' about not gettin' any Evil Love (TM).

The bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo was smooth, fast and efficent. I wrote until I was tired and then just gazed out the window for a while as the city lights blurred past in the night. 180 plus miles an hour is faster than you think.

Today was the Tokyo Game Show where visitors got to see the latest and greatest video game stuff about to hit the market. I took photos of LOTS of hot booth babes and politely accepted many pamphlets, catalogs, magazines and other handouts that I can't use or read. Lots of other neat freebies include: DVDs, software samples, a pen with invisible ink that shows up under a mini blacklight (included. Atari rocks!), lots of fans and a roll of toilet paper. Yes, toilet paper. It's covered with the compay logo for a producer of cell phone games. I don't know how much I'll take home seeing as how it's not very useful but I will have plenty of souvineers to share.

Free day in Tokyo tomorrow. Matt and I won' be ab le to attend Sumo as we didn't sign up in time V_V but will visit Tokoy Tower and other places on the morning tour. At least I'll have more time to write in the afternoon. . . maybe.

Gottafly. Stay happy and well. The Shinigawa Prince Hotel has a Yahoo internet cafe so I can update again later. Keep updating your own journals for me.

P.S. Do my entries stay at the top of your friends pages until the time they're dated has passed? Just wondering.

I don't think your entry stays at the top...but I haven't been paying attention either. You'll have to ask someone that's had time on their hands lately (as I have not - it's 8:45am and I've been up for the last 45 minutes).

Woo for fun in Japan. Glad you're having fun.

We should have a shindig when you get home. Or not. I'll talk to Lindsay and/or Mary about it. Yeah.

I return to the states on Thursday and might be home by midnite local time. A shindig sounds good but the only thing I might be up for by then is a 2-day backrub. I do have Thursday off.

I'd be willing to give you a backrub...but I don't think it's going to last 2 days as I have to work Friday at River Bluff. Just a thought...

Nope -- the timestamp displays correctly (this entry, for example, says it was written Sept. 18, 2005 at 4:24pm; yet it is currently 10:37am on that day local Wisconsin time), but its position on the friends-list stays in the order it was posted. So if someone posted "after" you (real-time), their post is above yours despite having an earlier timestamp. Your post was the sixth down my f-list when I woke up this morning. ^_^

Glad you're having fun! If you got anything on Gensosuikoden V from the TGS, can you please bring it back for me? It'll probably look like this.

Thank you for the observation and explenation. I've seen entries in communites that are posted contrary to their timestamps and wondered why.

After visiting Production I.G. tomorrow we'll be shopping all afternoon. I didnt get your message in time for the TGS but I will still look for something Gensosuikoden V for you then. I haven't heard of it but there are many otaku on the tour to help me. ^_^

i'm on tick's computer, but it's Lindsay, I can't sign him out, he gets all testy about that, anyway, Ninga themeed restaurant! Japan is so cool! I'm glad to hear you're haveing a good time. Your entries are so much more cheerful than my cruze ones, so I must take a vacation of MY choice with a friend.

Hai! Ninja-themed restaurant is saiko! Atmosphere well worth 3,500 yen. Will have story to tell upon return.

Have also heard about an Alcatraz-themed restaurant but didn't get to try. Next time.

So much is happening that I've had to abandon my daily journal just to have enough time to write postcards. I'll catch up on the 16 hours of flights back to the states.... well, I'll try.
