This morning I awoke to a call at 07:38 from the Air Quality Controls serviceman. He was here to replace the heat exchanger on my furnace as advised by Coleman through their recall notice. He got to it right away and finished in an hour and a half, two and a half hours less than the service time estimated by his company. Pretty good considering this was his first heat exchanger replacement. The furnace blew hot air for ten minutes before we decided it was satisfactory and turned the central air conditioning back on. All this was free of charge to me thanks to the manufacturer and I hope it lasts long enough to justify the inconveniences it has caused.
So now I'm awake. Normally I'd be getting up about this time but I had to schedule the service call early to ensure he'd be done before I left for work. I'm tired already. I got maybe four hours of sleep and I have the rest of the day to look forward to. Looks like I may have to call on an old friend this evening.
I've been off caffeine for a week and a half now and I don't miss it (yet.) I had two miserable days and after that I was fine. My primary source of caffeine is soda and I had been drinking about 24 oz. a day, sometimes more. In the past I've had withdrawal symptoms for a week so my intake must have been considerably more before or my temporary dependency has changed. Regardless, I am now sleeping better, waking easier and generally feeling good. This will likely last for several weeks until I get sick of drinking water or things like Sprite™ and slowly go back to other sodas, but for now I'm better off.
However, I'm afraid I'll have to have a couple cans this afternoon/evening to keep me going due to my lack of sleep and current level of fatigue, despite having been awake for three hours now. Ugh.
